Privacy Policy
Privacy in Landfall
Landfall is designed to be a personal travel tracker. Your visited places and plans should feel like your data, not a social profile.
Last updated: May 1, 2026
Short Version
Landfall stores your travel tracking data on your device. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
The app may use limited analytics to understand basic app health and feature usage. If analytics are enabled, those events may include details such as app version, build number, selected tab, and visited-state actions.
Data You Create In The App
Landfall lets you save information such as:
- Countries and regions you mark as visited.
- Future places you add to planning buckets.
- Preferences such as map display settings.
This information is stored locally on your device. We do not operate an account system for the current version, and we do not receive a copy of your full travel history or planning list.
Analytics
Landfall may use TelemetryDeck for privacy-conscious analytics. Analytics help us understand whether the app opens successfully, which main areas of the app are used, and whether core actions are working.
Analytics events may include:
- App opened events.
- App version and build number.
- Selected app tab.
- Visited-state changes, including place type and place code.
Analytics events are used for app functionality, reliability, and product improvement. They are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Maps And Search
Landfall uses Apple map technologies for map display and place search. When you use Apple map services, Apple may process requests according to Apple's own privacy practices. Landfall does not use map activity for advertising or cross-app tracking.
What We Do Not Collect
Landfall does not ask for or collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- Photos, journal entries, or social posts.
- Payment card details.
- Precise location history for advertising.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may use service providers, such as analytics providers, only to help operate and improve the app. They are expected to handle data only for those purposes.
Deleting Your Data
Because the current version stores travel records locally, you can remove your app data by deleting the app from your device. Some iOS backups may retain app data according to your Apple device and iCloud backup settings.
Children
Landfall is not directed to children and is not intended to collect personal information from children.
Changes
If Landfall adds accounts, sync, advertising, new analytics, or other data practices, this policy and the App Store privacy information should be updated before those changes ship.
